About Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia:

Futuristic skyscrapers to ancient mosques, sightseeing, shopping and more. A visit to Kuala Lumpur immerses you in the world of diverse Malaysian culture from the modern to the traditional. Fueled by tin mining in the nearby Klang River Valley, KL grew into the business heart of Malaysia around the original city center at Merdeka Square. It remains an important gateway from Asia out into the world, with many international flights connecting in KL International Airport.

The city is a cultural melting pot where landmarks include a sacred Hindu temple in the Batu Caves, countless mosques, a Neo-gothic church as well as Chinese temples in Petaling Street. It's not uncommon to find skyscrapers in the same space. Most notably, the Petronas Twin Towers in KL is among the tallest buildings in the world.

The cultural mix also lends to the exciting culinary landscape of KL, with plenty of street food and restaurants serving up the best of Malaysian cuisine. Besides food, KL keeps visitors entertained with hot nightlife spots, shopping malls, markets and family-friendly attractions like the Sunway Lagoon Themepark.
